Ó

Xbox360Commodore4Eva has been etched in the gaming world as the guy who made the DVD firmware hack for the TS-H943 drive for the Xbox 360, making playing pirated 360 games possible. Those who owned an Xbox 360 with the Hitachi 47DH drive might have been bummed about not getting the same privileges, but they don't be have to be so sad.

Commodore4Eva promises that there is a DVD firmware hack also coming their way. In his very own words, "I have just rec an Hitachi 47DH drive and have commenced work on the Firmware. I will post again when completed. Hang in there Hitachi owners it shouldn't take too long." So if you own an Xbox 360 with Hitachi 47DH, just remember: Patience is a virtue.

Well seems like Xbox360 has itself a major problem here. being able to easily play backup games with no mod-chip, could it be more simple?

Looks like sales will be going down due to the massive amount of people who will be hacking their DVD drives to play burned games. Mod Chips never got real popular because you were modifying the hardware itself. Flashing a Drive is such a simple process that you have to try and mess it up for something to go wrong.

Considering everyone who reads this wants to or already has done it. Piracy on the Xbox360 will go out of control. Unless the Xbox360 is able to flash the DVD drive, it seems that the old system of pooling money and burning copies has moved onto the Xbox360 for me and several of my friends.

Do you get banned from Live if you try to connect while playing a burnt game? Or if you try to play muliplayer in the burnt game?

yeah. so it is pretty much useless. since over 50% of 360 owners have xbox live and over 70 % of 360 owners have there 360 connected to the internet. once you turn on your 360 with a backup game connected to live you will be banned. and im sure theyll find a way if your gamercard has a game on it with the same id as another person and you played it at the same time both people will get banned. like sony does. which is very inaffective because you have to play online to get caught. if you get caught

1) you lost the money you spent on a membership

2) no more demo downloads

3) no free content

4) nothing assiociated with live

Haha. Who cares if you get banned from live.

It's a gaming console. Not a multimedia communtiy.

...As much as people would like to think.

If you have a computer, there is no need for Live, really.
