No 360 version for me - Image 1It's rumor-squashing time, and for this episode, Ninja Gaiden Sigma director Yosuke Hayashi will be holding the hammer. The rumor in question? An Xbox 360 version of the next-gen remake of the Xbox classic Ninja Gaiden Black.

In an interview with CVG, Team Ninja's Hayashi said that whispers of a secret 360 version already in development were nothing more than rumours. Said Hayashi, "I would take that rumour as proof that people's expectations for Sigma must be very high. But it is just a rumour."

It seems like Hayashi didn't quite aim for the rumor's vulnerable spot for massive damage, though, as that statement doesn't sound like a flat-out denial. We'll be keeping a close watch on this so keep checking back here on QJ for more updates.

As long as the next one is at least cross platform I don't care. It's a remake, they should of just created something original in the first place.

» Good

I loved the original Ninja Gaiden games but the one on xbox was missing everything that made the originals special. The music the story and the gameplay. The new ninja gaiden had good gameplay but the story was almost non-existant and cliche'd. Sounds like a ps3 game already.

» Of course it's not coming to Xbox 360

Both versions of Ninja Gaiden are playable on Xbox 360 and Ninja Gaiden 2 is on the way.

» Nothing Special

This game is nothing special so either way if it comes out on other formats or not its still not going to set the world on fire.

» I would stop reporting on it...

Team ninja is not big enough to develop so many games, and the main team is going to work on ninja gaiden 2, not a remake of a remake...
