Happy holidays from Microsoft: Xbox 360 SKUs to be bundled with free games |
Ó
Microsoft's really gunning it for the upcoming holiday season. Last month, they slashed down prices of the various Xbox 360 SKUs; now they will be bundling them up with extra games at no extra cost. I'm not entirely sure if this is a desperation move against Sony's huge line-up of games, or they're just being generous. Hah, just kidding on that last bit.
Anyhoo, here's the nitty gritty. The Premium and Elite models will both be bundled with Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures, and Kung Fu Panda. The Arcade model, which already comes with five Xbox Live Arcade titles, will now also be bundled with Sega Superstars Tennis.
Judging from their selection of games, it looks like their current tactic is aimed at the kiddies, or for parents who want to get their kiddies a new console. Still, a free game's a free game, and it's bound to keep the register busy. These holiday bundles will take effect later in the year, but take note that these bundles have only been confirmed for North America.

how pathetic...they have to bundle the 360 with crappy games
Don't give me such low ratings, just cause its true
Have you played Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures?
It's fantastic. Since playing it I've ordered Lego Starwars and Lego Batman. They're a phenominal set of fun, easy going games.
Good Lego games do no justify buying a POS 360, with no HDD.....$100 for a HDD, which you'll need....$299................. GO Microsoft brainwashing
They could have shown just a little bit of dignity and bundle games that are not absolute trash.... I mean other than Lego Indiana Jones not one of them look the least bit intriguing. It's like I should buy this bundle because not only is it cheap I get a free game! No matter that I will throw the game on my desk and never look at it again....
No matter how much you deny it it's true. I'm not bashing these games. I'm sure many of you might like them. All I'm saying is that these are not 'bundleworthy' If they really cared about their customers they'd at least bundle some good titles that have had a little more development time spent on them... Gears 2 anyone?
thats exactly wat im trying to say...lik the PS3's bundle packs, motorstorm (sold well, but im not interested in that games), Spiderman 3 Blu Ray, MGS4 (i got that one), which thats how the PS3 rolls...
Microsoft on the other hand makes you guys waste more money on the good ones
but no, i played one of the legos game.....star wars idk which episode, but it wasnt so great, nice and kiddy, but wasnt good
are absent from this page.
Speak your mind, dumbasses.
ok MCS, ok
MS doesn't need to bundle their best games with the system to sell it, so why would they?
Sony needed to package those games else it would've sold even worse than it did...
of freakin money either way you look at it.
all of microsoft's gaming sense comes in at the last second every freakin time... all this stuff they are doing (bundles, price reduction ect ect...) they do at the LAST moment wen they either know their gettn their azze'z kicked or close to it... then insted of using skilled knowledge, they use their damn benjamin's to seal that leak in there skull that the enxiety of trying to develope strategy and tactics.
anywho, these bundles suck, striat up SUCK.. it must be nice knowing wen a little child buys the core bundle cuz of the lego indy game thinking that now its cheap enuf he can play some harmfully fun games.... oh wait, wuts that you say? aww after only playing the game for one night outta so much excitment, wutta ya know... RROD! pffft, pathedic POS console.
I like my Sega Master System and Turbo Grafix 16
All right, so now that you've explained why they do it at the last moment, care to explain why in hell they WOULDN'T? Why would they drop the price WHEN THEY DON'T NEED TO? Why would they bundle games BEFORE THEY NEED TO?
"Skilled knowledge"? That is something you are sorely lacking my friend. And I'm not even sure what "skilled knowledge" is. Then again, I don't know what half your posts says, so w/e
It baffles me how stupid some people on QJ are. Really, go jump in front of a train somewhere. Or at least do us all a favor and never have children.
This entire article is about MS including free games with their SKUs so they sell better dumbass.
I dont understand why they dont do this with GoW2 instead and maybe they can have more people buy the system...the Indy bundle isn't all that good and if I remember correctly its not exclusive either...Ands whats up with Kung Fu Panda...wait ohhh they're trying to get little kids to have their parents buy it for Christmas smart really smart
Now that I think about it GoW2 bundles would loose money because the cut in price is just too big of a deal
So true... why give out the goods when you don't have to... it'd be desperation IF they were giving you blockbusters (looks at MGS4 bundle). But they're just going the casual game route....
think people are grasping at straws lol
Great quotes today 8]
With all our advances, you'd think we coulda bread (haha) out stupidity and ignorance.
can potentially sell Xbox 360 consoles without being packaged in a bundle IMHO
