Halo Wars goes gold: demo details, launch of documentary series |
Ó
It's on a bittersweet note I tell you guys that Halo Wars has gone gold. The game is now in the manufacturing process and is en route for its release date on March 3. As this is Ensemble Studios' final game, they are expected to disassemble soon.
A demo will be available on February 5. The demo will contain gameplay tutorials, the first two campaign missions, and a multiplayer map entitled "chasms." No online play for the map though, sorry people. This is you versus your silicon chips here. Time to find out who's smarter when it comes to strategy.
A new behind-the-scenes documentary series was also launched for the game, similar to what was done for Halo 3. The first episode is already available on Xbox Live Marketplace and on Xbox.com.

I'm certain this will be a great game. This game is coming from a studio who has experience in the genre, creates quality games, and it is a SHAME that this studio is going under. I don't know how stuff like this goes or what is happening, but man. I hope they get back together someday and continue to produce quality games..
will be missed. They created some incredible games. I hope they all find jobs where they can contribute substantially to another studio.
Terrible decision, Microsoft.
Microsoft killed ensemble because they wanted to move away from pc games :(. They did absorb most of the staff though, so it's not a complete loss
