Halo to come with Xbox 360 Dashboard update on December 4 |

It just came to our attention that Microsoft will be implementing the Xbox 360 Dashboard Fall update on December 4 and we are pretty sure that you will be pleasantly surprised with the software additions. The news originally came from video games site CVG which in turn got it from the Official Xbox Magazine staffers. Reportedly, the update will finally introduce the Video on Demand feature with the initial offerings coming from film studio Warner Bros.
The reports mentioned that movies will cost less than US$ 5 and can be viewed in 720p resolution. Quite interestingly, there are certain terms attached to this video download service:
- You have 14 days to start watching a film once it has downloaded
- Once you started watching a film, you have 24 hours to finish it
- After that, the film deletes itself from your hard drive
- Halo
- Fable
- Fahrenheit
- Crimson Skies: High Road To Revenge
- Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath Of Cortex
- Burnout 3

Personally i saw it myself. I think OXM probably got CVG to pull the article. Too late now, the cat is out of the bag.
Sad effort microsoft especially with all the old xbox games available and that is all they offer. They should also give atleast a month to view the films you download and you should be able to play them as often as you wish in that time. Seems to me the price af old games is high especially when you can buy halo 1 for as little as two pounds pre-owned. I myself would prefer to buy the game and not use all my haddrive space.
Dose this mean that MS is going to stop doing backward compatibtity?
If they are just 100% the old game, then this is stupid. What they COULD do, is any old game the has system link but not xbox live (looking at you Halo1) make it Live enabled! I would download the original Halo if it let me play it on live, and im sure many others would too!

If it is just the original game, nothing extra, why bother? Most people who would be interested in playing those older games probably already have them, so why would they buy them again just to not need the disc? It's pointless. But if they throw in online play, achievements, and maybe a few other extras, then it would be worth it.
its all bout halo1 on pc. some of the multiplayer maps on it are spectacular. Its the game that started everything for me i.e FPShooting multiplayer :)
