Halo Featured in School Talent Show

It's always good to see gamers using their talents in very productive ways. Youtube user, captainrad, posted a video of him and his friends setting up an awesome performance during their local talent show. The unique gamer twist to this performance is that they did the Halo Theme song.

Enough words, check them out!

Given that Halo 3 is set for launch next year, we've once asked the question "What's next for Bungie?" I've got a suggestion. They better hire these kids and used them for the game's promotion campaign. It'll cast us gamers in a good light, and hopefully shut Jack Thompson up, and it'll let Bungie get closer to their fans. Win-win.

This is all I have to say about this:

(1). Wow, ok. They played the Halo song (Any musician could do this.)

(2). They are probably the biggest losers in the school

(3). If you look at the video up close they have no fashion sense whatever and probably NEVER get laid, or if they do, it's by the fattest, ugliest, halo loving chicks ever to roam the earth!!!!!

(4) Halo is over-rated. Its a mediocre game that gay guys play with their gay friends so that they can high five each other and fantasize about being Master "*****" Chief!!!

(5) Not even worth a comment. These kids are trash!! They probably will grow up being comic book collectors, driving an '83 Taurus, and having sex with the ugliest chicks ever. End of Story.

to the person that posted # 10, if you can do better then pick your game theme or song get a band together and film so we can see it. these kids probably worked really hard on this and they did an awesome performance. You know what else I have a feeling that your describing yourself when you rant and rave about them in your post. They may be gaming nerds they may not be, but whatever they are they are not afraid to show it and thats more than I can say for you.

Just checked out this video. Personally, there is no way anyone can actually think this is cool. I can understand if it was a re-creation of a famous classical piece or theme of some sort, but a video game theme? You have to be a serious nerd to do that.

I'm sorry but I always find it a bit funny when people start bashing people like those on the video on video game forums and the comments sections of websites. If you go to a school where doing this gets you "beat up" then I'm sorry but you go to a horrible school. They took something they loved and put together an awesome performance for a talent show. Half those who would "beat these kids up" probably don't even know what they're playing.

My school's not big on Halo, but if someone played the Super Smash Bros. Melee theme they'd get a standing ovation. The Legend of Zelda or Super Mario Bros. theme (even more universal) and people would likely be humming the tune to the music!

If anyone has any real criticism, I'd like to hear it. I know it wasn't a perfect performance/transcription and believe me, I've caught most of my flaws. I'm rather impressed that so many people have enjoyed this.
