Welcome to the Halo 3 release date guessing game. Bungie had us all guessing since... maybe since they announced the game. With oh so many retailers like Best Buy, Wal-Mart, and Amazon having a go at the release date, is there really ONE reliable source?
November 15 is the release date circling the rumor mill recently, with an "anonymous executive from Microsoft's Xbox group". Some say that it is the most probable guess since HaloCE and Halo 2 had November releases. We can only guess as to what Bungie's calendar says since beta testing haven't even started yet.
Maybe next time we'll get a non-anonymous executive from Microsoft's Xbox group or somebody from Bungie to announce the release date. For now, your guess is as good as ours.

Halo: CE = Released on November 2001

Halo 2 = Released on November 2004
It would only make sense to keep that 3 year pattern, and have Halo 3 released around the week of November 11th 2007.
Plus with the Beta coming in the spring, it completely cancels out all rumors of Halo 3 being released in the spring or summer. :)
