Bungie Studios, the studio behind Halo 3 - Image 1

Despite the split from Microsoft Game Studios, Bungie - the studio behind Halo 3 - is still sticking with the Xbox 360. In a LiveText interview, two developers from the studio commented that the studio maintains its exclusivity with Microsoft's console.

In answer to a direct question of whether Bungie has any plans to work with any other platform beyond the 360, writing lead Frank O'Connor similarly answered in a direct manner: "We have no plans to work on any other platforms beyond 360 at this time."

Jonty Barnes, production director of the studio, piped in saying that:

Microsoft have been good friends to us. You can see the strength of our relationship in Halo. We're really focused on continuing our collaboration in making the best games we can, and that right now is on 360.

It's our hope this relationship continues to be our strongest one, as we have a lot of respect for the people we have worked with at Microsoft.

Their biggest game yet was on the 360, so that would be where most of their experience and expertise would lie.

While right now its still exclusive its not like there always going to be exclusive. Hence the magic words "We have no plans to work on any other platforms beyond 360 at this time." At this time not forever.

Halo franchise was never an ecxlusive to the XBOX or XBOX 360, why? Because it has always been ported to the pc...

They do have Halo:MAC, but No Halo2 for MAC, this is because Halo2 Vista wasn't fully Bungie's responsibility. Microsoft Studios just wanted to make a port, and I'm pretty sure they threw some monies at Bungie and they got permission to remake it for the PC.
