Halo 3 street date broken - Image 1

Thanks to a tip from MJMASKREY, we've just received word that the Halo 3 street date has been broken in the UK. Best of all, we've got a picture to prove it!

Apparently, Chinster, the gamer who managed to get his copy early, went to the Argos website and did a "reserve for store pick up" order. Afterwards, he took the number he got from the website, picked up his copy from the local store, and managed to pay through a human cashier who was none the wiser.

According to the forum report we found, it seems other people are trying their luck as well in their own stores. Now that word is spreading though, perhaps Argos and other shops will be more mindful of the street date for this and other games. In the meantime, feel free to tempt fate.

Chinster picked his up from an Argos store in N. Ireland although people have picked them up from Argos stores across the UK (Newmarket, Bromley, Worthing and many more all confirmed) although some people are now getting turned away by Argos Staff referring to an internal memo that's been distributed....so the chances of grabbing one is getting ever slimmer.

» Dont understand

I dotn understand why the Stores got the Game delivered already ?? Normally they get the game 1 or 2 days before release, but weeks?? its nuts.. The should know, that nowdays, to get the game leaked like this is preprogrammed.

» Because of the huge demand

I guess that they start it earlier, sending the game to the retailers. So that in the time of starting sending and releasing the game they can get alot more deliveries in the mean time.
