Halo 3: ODST - Image 1Yep, the Master Chief's still got it. The released Pre-Order charts for the week of September 9 from VG Chartz reveal that Halo 3: ODST has over 1.2 million fans lining up and waiting for its release, thus far.

So far, Nielsen is spot on with its observation from E3 that ODST will have the biggest purchase intent coming from that event. Well, almost, but not quite. Modern Warfare 2 edges out over ODST by some 20,000 pre-orders.

Halo 3: ODST comes out September 22, 2009. It's exciting to see how much Microsoft and Bungie will be raking in, as well as how it will affect the hardware sales for Xbox 360.

» People really would

pay full retail price for a 4hr game. Good going Microsoft at increasing the price because you know Halo is such a big name that if you made Halo Pacman and sold it at full retail you would get 1.2 million pre-orders as well.

» Hmmm

At least it comes with a 10000 hour multiplayer :)

» Um you mean the maps

that die hard fans of Halo 3 already bought and are now forced to re purchase them for this "expansion"

» Hmmm

True, for the people who have Halo 3 it might not be a really good deal but for the people like me (Who don't have Halo 3 and enjoyed playing the Multiplayer) this is a godsend.

It comes with the full Halo 3 multiplayer in a separate disc so we won't need halo 3 to play it and also, it comes with its own multiplayer.

» I'm a Halo 3 online gamer

I own all the maps in Halo 3 and I would buy ODST in a SECOND for the maps on the disc. Why? Hard Drive compatibility. The ODST discs are made to be loaded off a hard drive, meaning way faster load times. I can't wait.
