Halo 3, Mass Effect, PGR4 added to "classics" collection, gets price cut |
Ó
Cheapskates rejoice, Microsoft is adding three of its grade A games to its "Classics" collection - also known as the collection of "it's cheaper now" games.
Halo 3, Mass Effect, and Project Gotham Racing 4 are each now available for GBP 19.99 (US$ 28) in the EMEA region. Nothing really more to this news except to say "yay piggybank." But since Microsoft went to the trouble of making a detailed press release, I might as well share what they had to say. Here's David Gosen, VP of Marketing for Europe:
We are delighted to add three of our finest titles to the Classics range, adding to the exceptional entertainment offering available on the Xbox 360 at outstanding prices.
As we see more and more families looking to save money by staying in, Xbox 360 continues to offer high-quality home entertainment at fantastic value and consumers are clearly recognising this as we sail past 8 million console sales in Europe.
Ta-da!

Classics? They still new to me.
they can call it what ever they want, if it means price cuts. im sure alot of people will be happy.
Exactly why they have high prices. plus the demand of them. cause at my local wal-mart/gamestop all 3 of these games are still $59.99 USD.
For being out a year and counting these games NEED a price cut.
I just got to thinking, if a store has had copies of these games for awhile, and bought them back when they cost the store around $30 because they sold for $60, does that mean they now have to take a loss on the copies they payed more for? Or does MS give them a refund?
I like just bought Halo 3 a couple months ago for $50 used (of course I managed to get the sleek collector's edition, the one that came with the legendary 360 set) and now it gets a price reduction? Dammit!
But at least that 3-year old game is no longer as expensive as last weeks release, it never went down in price, ticked me off but this is good news, Halo 3 finally made the classics rank, though it took a lot longer than what I expected :/
I prefer the light green case than the gray one.
