Halo 3 Limited Edition case scratches discs?

There have been complaints that the Halo 3 Limited Edition case is made of poor quality. Hooterville on the NeoGAF forums said that one of his friends opened three copies of the game and found that the discs were all loose and heavily scratched. The person who posted this complaint also put up a few pictures of the product showing the scratches.

It wasn't mentioned where the product was ordered from, but three copies is a pretty big number. Hopefully, this is just a fluke and most players will be getting a good copy of the game. If more reports of this pop up, Microsoft and Bungie may have to step in to control the situation.

If you didn't pre-order the game, Halo 3 is slated for release this September 25 with a midnight launch party in various locations. Considering the number of people who will be in attendance, you might want to clear your schedule if you plan on picking up a copy.

» what a jerk...

ignoring the retard above (only retards think posting first is mentioning)...

this has been an issue with oversized game cases for a long time, the copy of UMK3 i bought for the sega saturn was a lil scratched because it came off the holder in shipping...

what i've done for years is shake the case, if it rattles, ask for another. it's not rocket science...

Now there are two ways for this game to get scrathed... shipping it, and playing it lol. 360 blows

» Wow, that sucks

Imagine getting Halo 3 home after waiting on the midnight line for like two hours, and when you put it in for the first time it says "Sorry, this disk is unreadable".

Come on guys, this game is going to move so many systems when it comes out it doesn't matter how crappy it is! (and when I say move systems, I mean they'll all be boxed up and shipped out to M$ for repair in droves!)

I only makes sense to make a 360 game that scratches itself. This way the crapbox can focus more on burning itself up from the inside out while running the game, instead of having to do that AND scratching the game all to heck.

» nothing new

Halo 3 is no different than any other cd. Cds/dvds come loose in shipping all of the time. Just because it is a high profile game, doesn't mean it won't happen. Like the other guy said, check the case for a loose disc. Also my 360 has never scratched a disc. Maybe because i am usually playing it instead of moving the xbox.
