Halo 3 "Is Quisnam Protero Damno!" video documentary now available |

Titled "Is Quisnam Protero Damno!," this ViDoc concerns itself with working on the whole Halo 3 project, play tests, multiplayer maps and gameplay, player movement, an explanation of the mysterious X-button, weapons, and graphics, among a whole lot of other things. The designers, developers, artists, and software engineers all contribute their various input in this documentary. And if all that doesn't interest you (you must be kidding right?! is there anyone who won't be interested in that?!), there's still loads and loads (and loads) of gameplay footage.
So before the Beta hits on May, you now have two options:
- Go over to your 360 and download it... or
- just click the play button below!
Oh, and as a note from Bungie:
All of the game footage in this doc was taken during the Alpha stage and isn't even representative of what you'll see in the Public Beta, let alone the final game. You will see frame rate skips, unfinished animation and graphical features that will change come Fall. All the footage is clearly marked Alpha. You’re looking at the features here folks, not the final quality bar – which we’ve set pretty high. Your next taste of that will be in May.

forgot to say gears blows halo,halo2,and halo3 away by far

I still play a WHOLE LOTTA Halo PC/CE and not so much Halo 2. (Only campaign on Halo2) Gears is alright, its pretty sweet in game but I get too worked up in the game. Annex seems pretty cool, but I absolutely hate loosing. There are too many people online looking to WIN so I end up with alot of people who talk alotta Sh~.
I think they will both add a new level of strategy to combat that will be perfect for King of the Hill and other objective games. I will still play custom games without them on occasion though.

Hmm, I think it'll do good for CTF or Ball (Insanely good for ball) but I WONDER if it will be a picked up Item? or a always have item that recharges?

I don't think they can use retail 360s in an Alpha. So elite 360s would be out of the question. Be mature about your posts. HOLY *****! that was amazing.
Halo in no way re-invented the FPS. It just gave all the mainstream console lovers a half-decent FPS. Halo didn't add anything new, so far the closest I've seen to "re-inventing" is putting a sword in. And the only reason I say that is because there have been games with swords, but none as overpowered as Halo 2's. When will you people get it? Unreal had everything Halo did, and more. And I'm not some kind of Unreal fanboy, I havn't played the game in ages. It's just an example. Bottom line is, the only thing that makes Halo a decent game is the lack of quality in its genre on consoles.
I just get this feeling like Halo 3 will be even more noobed out than Halo 2. And no, all these new items are power-ups (there's a third one, look when it shows High Ground and that guy does that jump, he's using a portable grav lift) so you ave to pick them up then hit X to use them. Hopefully there will only be one of each on the map
be noobed out. In the promo they talk about things like portals and dual weilding...and how people were just doing one thing and they now want to create situations where you have to think more. They've also said they want to bring it back closer to Halo 1. Man, just the replays you get to save of every match, and get to go over them from every angel...awesome. Then hearing how much thought they put into weapon, flag and spawn placement.....get's me giddy...
Idk I just didn't get a good feeling from that video. I'll save judgment till the beta, but right now it seems like it's for people who just like to have fun, not skilled players who like to play gametypes that take skill. Don't get me wrong, I love to have fun on Halo and don't take it seriously 100%, but you never see me playing gay sh*t like Juggernaut or all rockets/all swords games, just takes about zero skill and isn't fun at all. BR-start on Midship or Lockout is the best Halo 2 has to offer IMO Although I do still hold out hope for Halo 3, Bungie has said they are doing "something" for the competitive players (aka the people who don't play SMG-start), and I can't wait to find out what that is.
FPS's you can name that tairoed their gameplay around vehicles....before Halo was released of course...probably none, in this way it was very revolutionary... I know there were none on console that did it, and on PC everyone was play Quake, Unreal or Halflife/CS...none of which used vehicles.... So maybe think before speaking...
It's alot like Unreal in that sense, you really never slow down to plot strategies of flanking manuevers, you just rush certain point/guns and try to hold/abuse them.....along with lots of explosions and people being run over...
