Halo 3 beta keys boost Crackdown pre-orders |

Everybody knew it was going to happen. The only question left was "By how much?" Today we finally got some numbers on how much the bundled beta key for Bungie's Halo 3 multiplayer demo affected the pre-order numbers for RealTime Worlds' Crackdown.
According to GamesIndustry.biz, specialist chain GAME reports that pre-orders for Crackdown have risen by 25 percent since Microsoft announced the Crackdown/Halo 3 deal. Alex Croft, MD of GAME Group's online business, said that "Halo 3 is one of the most highly anticipated Xbox 360 titles for 2007 and our customers are hungry to get hold of it."
He added that the Halo 3 beta is "a great way for gamers to actually influence the making of the game and will ensure the production of a truly amazing game."

no doubt u'r right - ppl will buy this game even if it's not great, just for the Beta Invite. i'll be pre-ordering this game because i like what i've seen + heard so far - the Beta Invite is just an added bonus 4 me :D :D :D

Honestly, I was going to buy this game even before I knew that it was gonna have the Halo 3 beta included. Open world co-op? GTA with yourself as a cop from the future with superpowers? Hells yeah I'm buying this game! Not only that, but I'm a whore, and have a lot of money laying around from my incessant whoring. That said, I would buy this game only for the Halo 3 Beta, because I love Halo that much. I mean damn, I'd pay 60 dollars just to get into the Beta, no game required. But add a Beta for my second favorite franchise ever to a game that I was already sold on to begin with? Please, sugarfoot. And no, I don't think it's pathetic to buy this solely for the Halo 3 Beta. 60 dollars to play the biggest and most anticipated game of the year MONTHS before you're supposed to? For people who have been waiting for any bit of halo 3 info since its announcement, this is a fan boys wet dream. If you don't understand that, then begone! And let us Halo fanboys get our bedsheets all sticky waiting for the Halo 3 beta.

This game looks very good and I believe its from the maker of GTA,I was going to buy this game anyway(take a look at the preview vids) the HALO is just a huge bonus,as usual M$ have given me more for my money.
