Halo 3 beta in spring? Bungie says late spring is more likely |
Just in case you folks missed this when it came out late last week, here's a refresher. It was recently confirmed in the weekly Bungie update that the release of the Halo 3 beta will be closer to late spring than spring. Here's what Brian Jarrard said in that Bungie update:
There are still many details of the Halo 3 beta to be finalized but one thing we did want to confirm is that the beta will not be starting next week. Crackdown will be available in stores starting Tuesday, 2/20, but the Halo 3 multiplayer beta start date is still being finalized. WeÂ’re still aiming for a Spring release, but it could be more like late Spring.
As soon as we have some firm details weÂ’ll be sure to pass them along. In the meantime, enjoy Crackdown itself, which is a blast to play (especially co-op). And donÂ’t forget that we still have new Halo 2 hotness coming in the form of brand new multiplayer maps still slated for release this Spring. WeÂ’ll have more to say about all of this stuff in the weeks ahead. Until thenÂ… remember, "Skills for kills, Agent. Skills for kills."
This news is a bit bad for you folks who were expecting to be playing through the Beta throughout April. But, hey, you folks have been waiting for months, what's a few more days right?
Given this slight adjustment, we now wonder how wide that fall 2007 window is.

OWNED to all those who bought crackdown for Halo3
Er what ? Bungie never said the Beta it will be available same day as Crackdown everyone knows that so how are they owned ?.
I just had a look at the HD in game demo of Halo 3 it looks amazing well worth the wait.

We all knew the beta wasn't coming out the same day as Crackdown. I don't get how i got owned... I didn't buy Crackdown just for the Halo 3 beta per se, but I wouldn't have bought it had it not been included. Oh, and I reserved it at GS so yes, I am guaranteed a beta invite.
I mean, not only do those losers get a Halo 3 invite, but they get an awesome game as well! PWNED!

I seriously doubt that you have seen an in game demo, much less and HD version of Halo 3 at this point.
whoever said owned is stupid. I got in by playing halo2 for 3 hours and registering. Exactly 10:33am pacific time they reopened the website.
It's worth buying this game.

I have had Crackdown since saturday. I bought it for the Halo Beta and when i found out that it wasnt even running right now i was pissed. But the key word is "WAS". Crackdown turned out to be an awesome game, a lot better than I thought it was gonna be. No harm no foul.
