Gute Nachrichten fur Deutsche Prey Fans!

Okay, we don't really speak German to save our butts - we used Babelfish to translate "Good News German Prey Fans". We don't know if we got it right but this we know for sure: If you're in Germany and you have a German Xbox Live account, you can now download the Prey demo from the marketplace.

Now, there were speculations that certain blood-and-gore portions have been sanitized by the German authorities. But one poster at Major Nelson says nothing has been censored from the German Prey demo. He says German law states rated 18+ doesn't have to be cleaned up but may be only sold to or downloaded by persons of at least that age. The marketplace team was not sure about that, which caused the slight delay of the demo's German release.

If you're not German and you want to see the English Gameplay demos, you can download them from here.

This is not correct!

Fans are groupies etc.

Ventilatoren are fans(the english word)!

It blows air ;)

» correct would be

"Gute Nachrichten fĂĽr deutsche Prey Fans"

as bonni said a Ventilator blows air =)

» thanks, bonni and scuff!

as the writer said, we really can't speak German and had to rely on Babelfish. but the title's changed now. thanks for pointing the mistake to us! ^^

» Just joking

Nobody says groupies in germany. Fan is a common word and the correct translation would be "Anhänger". But nobody uses this. Fan is correct!

Skuff, Bonni, ihr Witzbolde! :)

» yeah, the translation is right!

Erzengel360 is right, you (or Bablefish) did a great job.

If it really was rated 18+ in Germany they wouldn't be allowed to provide any download without age certification or even advertise it in public, so I bet it's a cleaner version. I'm just downloading. I'll let you know how much gore there is.

» don't know...

Well there's blood in the german version and bodies don't disappear. Looks kind of gorey. Of course I can't compare it to anything... (and I set up Austria as my home country. Wonder if that makes any difference...)
