GTA4 on the 360: XBL players unlock over 100 million gamerscore points last week - Image 1Microsoft recently released some interesting new statistics regarding the Xbox 360 release of Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto 4. For one, the company states that the game's massive sales last week - last counted at 3.6 million units worldwide - also benefited Xbox 360 console sales.

Microsoft's data from that time period shows console sales at retail went up 54 percent week-over-week. Forty percent of these consoles were, in turn, sold with a copy of GTA 4.

The game's success doesn't end at its revenues either. Xbox Live recorded around 2.3 million GTA 4 players were online during the title's release last week.

The players were further recorded to have unlocked a total of 12 million achievements, worth over 100 million gamerscore points. The game also made new playtime records, with gamers last week recording an average of four hours per day playing GTA 4.

Those are the latest figures that the company has announced for the moment. Stick around in case we receive any more word of GTA 4's sales, or how it may be doing on the PS3.
