Race Driver GRID - Image 1

Some trouble's been brewing over at the Codemasters forums. A nasty technical issue causes Race Driver GRID (Xbox 360, PS3, PC) to freeze up on the Xbox 360s of some users.

Development lead Gavin Raeburn acknowledged this problem and assured the community they're acting as fast as they can to deliver a fix. This statement was written to assure everyone everything's going to be fine.

We’re close to getting to the root of the problem and we will be including a fix and a backup workaround option (just in case) in our forthcoming patch due within the next few weeks or sooner,” he said. “We think the issue is due to specific drive hardware, possibly with bad blocks/sectors. The best temporary measure is to copy your gamertag to a mem card, remove the hard drive and run the game that way. Replays and caching will be disabled, though instant replay will still work as this caches to memory. I hope this helps in the short term.

Excellent! Now we'll just have to wait for it to drop. Keep it with us because we'll give you an update as soon as new word comes.

...

I haven't had an issue myself. Not one freeze. I feel sorry for those people that are having problems.

I love this game. The AI is pretty amazing. I'm not comparing this with other racing games, but this is the most enjoyable racing game I've played in a very very long time.

No Issues Here

I agree. I have no issues here. Just finished writing my review for it as well and did not experience one freeze through out the game
