Xbox Live Subscription deal - Image 1

Start your year right with a cool deal for all your Microsoft Xbox Live needs. Buy.com is offering yet again a 12 month Xbox Live card for a measly US$ 29.99. That's right, 12 months translate to one full year.

In fact, it's actually 13 months, cos the full promo is a 12 + 1 month Xbox Live subscription card. Plus free shipping. Oh, and there's a limit of five subscription cards per order. So you know what to do: HURRY!

Buy a new game with that money and enjoy free online play. Of course, this idea wont work for Xbots, only PS3 users!

I own both systems, and have played online with both of them, and I will be the first to say that its nice to have free online. However, what is not nice is: almost no one seems to have a mic, if someone does have a mic half the time they're speaking a foreign language, the lag in some games is quite bad, and PSN isn't integrated into the system as a whole nearly as well as Live is. Simply put live is the better of the two services, and it rightfully should be since you are paying for it unlike PSN.

The bottom line is you get what you pay for. With PSN you pay nothing, so you get whatever the hell Sony feels like giving you. With Live you're paying $3.85 a month, and you get a better servers, better implementation of the system on the console, and more time playing with friends instead of trying to find them.
