XNA means homebrew en masse. Some of you may have decided that going into game developing is what you really want to do in life. You even got yourself one of those new-fangled Microsoft">XNA Game Studio Express by Microsoft">XNA game making software thingies to help you out. If you're feeling lost, let us give you a hand by pointing you in the right direction.

For starters, you'll want to make sure you know the ten basic steps for making an XNA game and ensure that C# Express is installed on your computer. That will definitely give you a head start in figuring out what you want to do.

Following that, the other main thing you can do is visit Microsoft's web page for XNA. They've put up tutorial videos for people to download and view. Depending on your skill and proficiency in programming, you can probably skip one of the three videos in your quest to making your own games. All in all, after getting the basics down, just keep making games to improve your skills, don't be afraid to get more in-depth in perfecting a process, and keep these videos and tutorials you find for future reference. Good luck!

» for completely NEW people...

I found a program online that helped me out in knowing what some probably consider the kindergarten of coding :P. The program is called "Game Maker". It's more drag and drop than typing of code, but it helps to understand a little more if you know some basics, right;-)? They have tutorials on how to do platform, scrolling, and 3-D games. Hope this helps more getting started, because if you're like me...you could use all the help you can get :P.
