Tick-tocking like cogs in a gear, the Gears of War movie is moving along smoothly. The film hasn't been casted yet, much less the production started on, however, we do get some promising updates at the very least.

Screenwriter Chris Morgan hit it up with MTV to talk about the blockbuster project being worked on between Epic Games and New Line Cinema. Yes, it's going to be massive - it can't not be, what with a game that has such a strong following among Xbox 360 and PC fans.

According to Morgan, they're already talking about budget and how potentially epic this feature length movie can get.

A draft went in and weÂ’re talking about it now and weÂ’re budgeting it out. ItÂ’s looking incredibly good.

I think the gamer side is going to be thrilled with it. All the stuff you want to see, we put that in there and then we blow it out a little more, even. Now itÂ’s just a matter of honing in on all of the character arcs and determining production types of things.

It’s huge. One of the things they’re really talking about now is the budget of the film and how big of a spectacle this is going to be. My argument is, look at the underlying material. Look at the game and the scenario — the fact that the world is being taken over by the Locust, it has to be huge.

Good that they're actually taking the gamer's mind set into consideration. That's something Cliff Bleszinski and Mark Rein are already assuring us. Anything less could possibly banish this movie to Uwe Boll status. And by gods, I'm sure CliffyB will go through hell and high water to make sure they avoid all factors to mess up his baby.
