Gears of War 3 "Big" announcement expected today |

Since there's a Microsoft event happening in San Francisco this week, it then becomes a very convenient venue for them to make this announcement of theirs. Whatever could it be, we could only guess at this point. Speculations are strong and high, however, that it might have something to do with the multiplayer test for the game.
The multiplayer beta was first confirmed last year. Due to scheduling issues, however, the beta took a while to commence. From the results of the beta will the developers know and decide if they will be incorporating it in the game in time for its Fall release this year. With many people hoping to get their hands on the beta, Epic Games has come up with a marketing scheme that will hit two birds with one stone.

Just at the tailend of last year, they announced that those who buy the Epic Edition of Bulletstorm for the Xbox 360 will be able to get a code that will grant them access to Gears of War 3's multiplayer beta. Then, earlier this week, they clarified that while that's the best way to get in, it's not the only one. "No, but it's the best way in with [a] headstart and exclusive content."
From the looks of it, the multiplayer action is already well on its way in the game. Cliff Bleszinski has already addressed this, characterizing its inclusion in the final game as providing a "level playing" field for the gamers. They've also divulged that dedicated servers will be supported by the multiplayer mode of Gears of War 3.
With all these public knowledge about the game, we're left wondering what this new, big announcement could ever be about. Your guess is just as good as ours, though, but we'll be keeping you posted on this.

I'd definitely get Kinect instead of PS Move for PS3.
If Kinect would work with PS3 too as it does with PC and X360 (originally), it'd show how open it is even more.
