Gears of War 2 - Image 1

Didn't get to purchase the limited edition series of Gears of War 2 huh? Missed out on the Gold-Plated Lancer Assault Rifle, did ya? Don't you worry, XBL Marketplace has your back. All you need is, say... 1,250 bucks. Dirt cheap, I tells ya.

But seriously, the thing's being offered for 99,999 MS Points at XBL Marketplace, roughly around US$ 1,250. This little gem is either a glitch, or else someone's got a sense of humor in Epic. If you visited the Marketplace entry earlier though, reports say that you could have gotten it for free.

Reason is because M$ did a boo boo and accidentally left it as FREE!!!! yes FREE for a couple of days. (and i was lucky enough to download whilst it was free) they then noticed and they whacked the price up to 999999 to stop people from downloading it. it's the same for the Golden hamerburst. There is currently lots of limited edition content free atm such as "the cod5 carbine gun which is maent to unlocked at lvl 65" but can be downloaded free.
