The voracious Locusts are back, and we all know how they love to jump out of their holes to ambush Marcus Fenix and company. We typically responded to that by timing frag grenade lobs right and spraying gunfire to pick off survivors, but it seems that the Locusts have had enough of it and they've learned new tricks.
As Cliff Bleszinski explains, in GoW 2, the Locusts have gained the ability to peg entire cities with massive holes that could take out entire human settlements in one strike. Humans respond to this tactic now by sending in trucks to jump into the holes and take the fight right at the bugs. In any case, watch the trailer and see for yourself. It's simply breathtaking.

I'm not even a Gears fan but that was awesome. Those flying things reminded me of the ones in The Matrix
I thought there wasn't too much they can do to top the first one, but this one is mind-blowing. Sick!
A better story, or maybe just a story period. Other then that, looks good, though the lack of reason to keep playing is what has left the original unfinished on my shelf.

That thingie that was flying around with all the tentacles and stuff looked like those in Crysis. I hated the first game and i probably won't get this.
But just the action and the thought of buzz-sawing locusts kept me going. :)
You are soooo stupid. The Reavers, or as you call them "That thingie that was flying around with all the tentacles and stuff", came out in Gears way before crysis was even realesed. Check your facts before you say something, It will make you look less stupid.

GoW was one of the best games ever made, dont compare GoW with Crysis, cus crysis is B.S, i own a ps3, guess its time to fix the xbox :)
When he used the injured locust as cover was when I went "DAMN" I really enjoyed the first one. Marcus seemed quicker coming out from cover to shoot than I remember. Looked pretty slick. The story is said to actually advance quite a bit more in G2 than the first. I expect this to be a huge HUGE game this year. I can't wait to play it. Farfetched but... I hope we can hijack one o them "tentacle thingies" haha and ride the damn thing once more into the breach... I'm also hoping that the Multiplayer feature is more fleshed out and has less glitches/glitchers than the first.
one of the reasons why fix RROD ASAP and....buy a 360 if you never own one.
