As Xbox 360 gamers worldwide crank up for Gears of War 2, Microsoft and Epic Games have a couple of exclusive content lined up to make the release even more, well, epic.When you buy yourself a copy of Gears of War 2, you automatically get the Flashback Map Pack for free (which means you better buy one for yourself instead of just renting or borrowing the game). The map pack includes five maps from the original game, updated for the graphics of GoW2: Canals, Gridlock, Mansion, Subway and Tyro Station.
Microsoft also gives another reason to buy yourself your own copy, offering a 48-hour Xbox Live Gold membership with the game.
Buying the game will get you the map pack, but you need to buy the game during the Midnight Mayhem event to get a token for an in-game gold-plated Hammerburst Assault Rifle for multiplayer gameplay. Midnight Mayhem starts November 7 at 12:01 AM, with 20,000 retail stores participating in the launch.
An in-game gold-plated version of the Lancer Assault Rifle will also be available with the game's Limited Edition.

guess I'll be there at the launch event, damn!t... guess I'm kinda a sucker like that for useless/worthless schwaag. Proly just show up late and not wait in line though. After the Halo3 launch I was accidentally trapt into going to, I swore them off... oh well.
Why tag the content as exclusive when the game as a whole is exclusive.... Next you should tell us about the exclusive Dual Shock 3 controller for PS3 and how it has an exclusive PS button in the middle. There I'm done, sorry if anyone was hurt.
Exclusive as in respects to Pre-order and Limited edition. If you buy the game a week before christmas you won't be getting the special weapons. It's not a hard concept to grasp.
We have to buy the game in the midnight launch, and the limited edition so we can play with a map pack, a gold-plated lancer rifle, a gold-plated Hammerburst Assault Rifle? It's not big deal, but I think they should let everyone have the same content also there are still people that don't have internet connection, so this is useless for them.
gears 2 is gonna kick a$$!
Unless I'm with someone, I just sit in the car until the line is gone. Run in, come back out with the game in 5 minutes.
I'm going to be running around with both a gold-plated Lancer and Hammerburst :P

I had no idea people could have "Math-battles" ... yes, that's dueling with equations... it was simply mind-boggling !!!
