Hey, it's time someone new take the cover image for this kind of article. With Gears of War flooding Live, it's no wonder that Gears continues to top the Xbox Live activities chart for the past week, as revealed by Major Nelson in his blog. Heck, it's no surprise anymore that the Major goes on to say that "if the Xbox 360 list and the original Xbox list were combined..." You know how this ends, right?

Anyway, let's go on to the changes to the list. Following Gears are Call of Duty 3 and Rainbow Six: Vegas, which makes it three shooters to command the 360 list. Right now, the only demo in the list is the Lost Planet online multiplayer demo in fourth place - which actually makes it four shooters in command. From the Arcade stable, there's Roboblitz (6th) and Small Arms (10th).

Some people in the Major's blog are asking where Viva Piñata is in all this activity (hey, it's a nice game in itself, and it's got its fans...). And our bet is that when the Pimps At Sea concludes, and Bungie finally decides on a demo release to drive the Halo community insane, it'll quickly find its way into the Live activity list. 'Til then, this is how Live players greeted the dawn of December:
