GDC 2008: Grand Theft Auto IV Episode 1 in Spring, Xbox 360 exclusive - Image 1


Microsoft vice president John Schappert has revealed that more than a thousand new games will be released on the Xbox 360 this 2008.  Among these games will be a little title from Rockstar Games called  Grand Theft Auto IV.

Fans of the series will be pleased to know that Microsoft has already confirmed that the first downloadable episode for the upcoming Grand Theft Auto IV will be arriving this August and it will be released exclusively on the Xbox 360.

Currently tagged as Grand Theft Auto IV: Episode One, it is expected to be the first of two downloadable episodes for the game. While it hasn't been confirmed yet, this exclusive deal is said to have cost Microsoft quite a bit of money.

Gamers can expect Grand Theft Auto IV to be out on April 29.

... people MIGHT still be playing the game when this DLC "episode" comes out. I mean seriously, declaring that DLC is coming out 6+ months after launch isn't that great of an incentive to buy the 360 GTA4 over the PS3... oh well doesn't change my status either way.

Why? because it will give the game a chance for a larger user base thus allowing for more possible sales of the downloadable content, it's not like every 360 owner will pick this game up immediatley, in fact I myself will wait unril June.16th my bday, ask for it as a gift, until then Condemned 2, Bully SE and others will be in my 360.

People play GTA games for years, nevermind months.



6 months is a brilliant time. But i really want this on the PS3. I heard Sony had something in the works, but that it has to come out after MS's DLC.

Hey QJ its not spring its the summer, August isn't in spring.



Anyway im getting the PS3 version, cause im used to GTA being on the PS3, so i don't really mind the DLC for 360 version.
