GDC 08: Microsoft reveals Xbox Live Arcade Awards winners

Last month, Microsoft announced the first ever Xbox Live Arcade Awards where players can vote for their favorite games. There were six categories open for public voting, including best overall arcade game. So, did you vote for your favorite game?

Microsoft revealed the winners of the Xbox Live Arcade Awards at the 2008 GDC. Over 26,000 people voted, and the tallies are in. Looks like the most popular game right now is Bomberman Live, which won best overall arcade game. Here are the rest of the winners:

Best Classic Game: Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Best Original Game: Pac-Man: Championship Edition
Best Family-Friendly Game: Pac-Man: Championship Edition
Best Competitive Multiplayer Game: Bomberman Live
Best Cooperative Multiplayer Game: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Best-Selling Game: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Most-Played Game: Worms
Highest-Rated Game: Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Xbox LIVE Arcade Staff Choice: Pac-Man: Championship Edition
