Games on the Cheap: XBox 360 Comes out with Classics |

What can you really consider classics these days? Is it the quality of the product? The length of time since its initial release? How memorable the product is?
Apparently for Microsoft... Classic = CHEAP.
Come October, the XBox 360 will be selling their Classic series of games in Europe, priced at €30, which is around the same figure XBox Classics are being sold at. All in all, sounds like a good deal, right?
Well... the games are Classics because they're cheap... though they aren't 100% awe-inspiring. The first two titles in the Classics line for the XBox 360 will be Kameo: Elements of Power and Perfect Dark: Zero, which didn't really do all that well across review sites.
Still, for that kind of price, it should be a good way to while away time till they announce the next set of Classics releases.

we should make our version of the 360 greatest hits box art, because thats garbage.
I agree, i hate those *****in "CLASSIC" boxes with minimized squares with the box art... Its so damn ugly. We want the GAME, not a oversized CLASSIC label on top of it..
if the box art will be exactly the same in other places besides EU

um has the price been anounce for the hdd addon? and even with that we dont need blu ray nor hdd dvd right now. Dvd is a year away from dieing. They are still selling strong and sorry to infom you but the many people in the mass public havent heard enough about either of the platform to warrant their purchase. Plus we all know the bluray player in the ps3 will not as good and as durable as a standalone bluray player

You got to be kidding me! it took microsoft many many years and million of dollars to construct the first version of xbox live and considering sony is mostly a harware company you have to expect it to be worse that xbox live (which i have to admit is pretty good). I have played pdz online with 32 players so dont tell me it can support 8 player bs. And it is 4-5 dollars a year.If the ps2 online capabilities are any indication of the ps3 online then sony better play me to play online (except socom).

If you are going to buy a system for bc then you might aswell keep your ps2 or xbox. To tell you the truth i can count in my hands the amount of time i have played ps1 games on my ps2. Most of the most played game for the xbox are bc.

How many articles? i can link you 20 that says differently. Look at the recent survey taken. Most developers prefered to program on the 360 over the ps3. If you are a programmer you know the quality of Visual c++, visual basic , and in all visual studio. When it comes to software development microsoft is the best at both development tools and documentation.

The x360 defect rate is a bit high but to tell me te ps2 defect rate wasnt high has to be the biggest load of bolgna. Thats the reason i am on my third ps2 (first one wouldnt spin , the second one would give me the occasional cant read disk so i just recently bought a slimline.
And specs are nothing when many developers are saying that graphics wise the ps3 and 360 are about the same

Wow now this is what you call garbage, seriously guys, this is the ugliest box art I've ever seen, y can't they just leave the original box art and just give the game cheaper.
Classics, is this a joke? When I think of classics I think of Super Mario, Bros., Chrono Cross, The Legend of Zelda: Ocerina of Time. And now Microsoft is going release these so-so games and call them classics. Also, the box art looks like crap.

Umm the PS3 has 7spes and thats it. Not 8 cores and 7SPEs. And SPEs work differently than cores so the power isn't a numbers thing.

Kameo got an 8.7 on GameSpot, 8.6 by users, and 8.1 average across other review sites.
Perfect Dark Zero got a 9.0, 8.6, and 8.1...
Classics won't be only the very best games on any platform, if it were the list would be very short, but these are damn good games, especially considering the price....
Maybe calling them Greatest Hits would have been better?
At any rate, they aren't classics in the true sense but they are damn good games released on the 360...
yes they are both cool games and very challenging on the second look! even kameo with an easy single player, becomes quiet dfficult when it comes to get all the A rating on single and co-Op games!
same for perfect dark which is not that easy on the hardest level and the multi player really rocks in my opinion. the only negative on PDZ is thats its 18+.
when it really comes to bad game talk about quake4, stupid single player and a sloooooooooow multi where you have to wait minutes to start he next game.....i think it suckz.
There are ways around getting banned.... You just have to have a wireless network with alternating IP addresses...... YOU IDIOTS!!!!!!
but call them "greatest hits"...to me...that meant Cheap too....because some of the "greatest hits"....weren't that great.
but oh well...not like i'll be buying these "classics"...already got them
