Frontlines: Fuel of War - Image 1Kaos Studios, in partnership with publisher THQ, is still hard at work on its upcoming non-linear first-person shooter Frontlines: Fuel of War for the Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3, and Windows-based PCs. In a recent showing of Frontlines: Fuel of War, though, it was revealed that a demo for the Xbox 360 version of the the video game is slated this coming December.

Kaos Studios main man Frank DeLise told TeamXbox that Xbox 360 owners could get their hands on a morsel of Frontlines: Fuel of War via the Xbox Live MarketPlace come December 2007, while the full version should hit store shelves in the first quarter of 2008.

THQ confirmed DeLise's claim that there are indeed plans of launching a demo in December to showcase the kind of work that they've been pushing for in the last few months. Aside from non-linear freedom, it was also made known that 32-player online play will be available.

As the title of the game suggests, Frontlines: Fuel of War's core mechanic is fighting for position and pushing the war's fronts in your favor. Gaining ground yields special bonuses such as items and weapons, so it's important to hold your opponents at bay to keep the tactical edge leaning in your favor.
