From hero to zero: XBL Gamerscores reset, explained by Toulouse |

The Xbox Live police sure know how to act fast. Unfortunately, even those who were innocent of Achievements transgressions had to be casualties of said fight against online cheating. In case you're not yet aware, the Gamerscores on XBL have been totally reset. But before you take out your pitchforks and march down to the Microsoft offices, hear Stephen Toulouse out.
According to him, "A couple of weeks ago... we did a Gamerscore reset pass on several Gears of War 2 players who had illegitimately toggled the 'Level 100' Achievement for a map pack that had just come out." How did they know the scores they were raking up were illegitimate? For one, the speed by which they were earning their achievements were impossible, to put it simply. For two, well, it's not like these guys weren't given ample warning.
"Any time you earn an Achievement you don't actually have to earn, that's against the terms of use." They're serious about keeping gameplay clean and green, so to all you cheaters who brought this upon us all: Boo you! And as for the innocent casualties, Toulous said every person is just as "responsible" for taking care of the console and its online representation.

1, you wont get your trophies removed.
2, I've never heard of anyone that's got thier console banned.
3, its actually a better console.
4, its not from Micro$oft.
5, its free to play online.
6, want me to continue???
I actually own 3 Xbox360's and 1 PS3 and I think the PS3 is a better console. All the above reasons and better graphics. I've compared the same game on the same tv and there is a big difference. the PS3 does have better graphics.
Ok, the 360's controller is better but thats it. Thats the only thing its got going for it from what I see.
Anyway, this is one reason why I dont like to play online, if your any reason your game crashes (360 overheats and locks up is 1 typical reason) you can loose all you've achieved in the game but keep the achievements so in M$'s eyes your a cheat and they delete your achievements. It's total BS but as they are a##holes I can see them doing it coz. Just coz.

and you're wrong!
your Trophies are saved on SONYs' servers, so they could easily remove them!
also, SONY is banning system, and microsoft isn't
would you rather lose your trophies/achivements, or the ability to play online??
as far as i know, microsoft doesn't ban your actual system... they ban your household.... i think, and SONY bans your system...
maybe the other way around?
but anyways, this doesn't belong here!
don't post such crap!!
the console-war on QJ seems to had stopped for a while, and now you try to fire it up again!?
really now... we may all discuss which system is the best, but we all really just want to get rid of those discussions, they are waste of time!
in this case, it all comes down to what YOU prefer... not which system has a hardware-advantage over another!!
now go on your PS3 and stop posting such needless crap here, you're only making matters worse!
.... i talk too much *sigh*
