So, enjoying the New Xbox Experience? What about the avatars? Liking them so far? If the answer's yes, then here's some good news.
According to a blog post by Xbox Germany product manager Boris Schneider-Johne, the new avatar clothing theme packs that Microsoft is working on will be released in the next few weeks. What's even better is that they will be free.
Here's a translation of Schneider-Johne's post courtesy of GamersGlobal (the original was in German):
More costumes will be made available for free in the next weeks. What's going to happen as of spring is yet to be announced. If you spot Avatars that wear clothes not yet available in the Avatar Editor, those belong to beta testers who were allowed to test ALL the new clothes beforehand (for instance my chic Xbox Jersey).
We didn't catch any mention of game-related clothes being free, though, so chances are you'll have to pay for those, kinda like the Premium costumes in LittleBigPlanet. Keep checking back here for more updates.

a proper 5 o'clock shadow would be nice.
some muscle options instead of fat or skinny.
colors of hair that don't occur in nature.
the ability to set an expression for the face, i want a face that says "i want to put a bullet in your brain" not one that says "i baked you some cookies"...
i love what is there so far, but it really needs to go farther above and beyond what the wii offers... otherwise it will always just seem like miis with depth...

I mean of course they will, this is the perfect thing to milk. New pack of shirts, 80 points. Some new hats, 80 points. It's gonna happen
Although I don't understand why people are always so negative about it, "milk there customers dry"? It would be milking the customers dry if you HAD to buy it. But you don't, it's your choice, like Themes. How is that milking?
Besides, isn't the point of the whole operation to make money? It doesn't matter how much money MS already has, they're not going to suddenly stop wanting more. From a business perspective, if people will buy something, why make it free?
