The fourth installment in the video game series that was inspired by Tom Clancy's novels has been keeping fans at the edge of their seats since last year. Now, with its release date looming closer and closer, everyone just can't seem to get enough of the exploits of Sam Fisher of the black-ops division of the National Security Agency.

Published by game developer Ubisoft for the Xbox 360 and the PS2, Splinter Cell: Double Agentis given the task to infiltrate a terrorist group and destroy it from within. However, choices must be made, and each choice has an equivalent effect on the outcome. Your cover may be blown by killing too many enemies too fast, but then again, acting too slow may cost the lives of millions of civilians.

This stealth-based game prides itself in using the Unreal Engine 2.5 to define its physics and environment, and is due for release on October 19.

Until then, here's a new batch of screens as we wait for this title to hit the shelves.
