Forza Motorsport 2Microsoft's answer to the PlayStation's Gran Turismo franchise has been put up on blocks once again. Microsoft games boss Peter Moore has recently revealed in an interview with MTV that Forza Motorsport 2 will not be launching on February 2007 as was previously expected. Instead, it will hit shelves by the end of June 2007.

While the delays suffered by Forza 2 will undoubtedly weaken Microsoft's winter and spring lineups - and that's a big thing, what with the PS3 and Wii launches - it also means that the company will have a pretty strong lineup for the first half of 2007. Forza 2, Crackdown, Shadowrun, and Too Human will make up Microsoft's first-party releases for that period.

Along with the new release dates, Moore also gave a tentative timeline for the release of the planned Halo movie. With the recent withdrawal of Fox and Universal from the project, Moore confirmed that the movie will not be released until 2008 at the earliest. Quite a long way to go until 2008, but hell, we've been waiting for Halo 3 (which is expected to launch during the 2007 holiday season) for quite some time now, so a 2008 release for the movie will be quite welcome.
