The rumor train for X06 is finally "unloading its first passengers". Yep, we have news that the mystery XBLA franchise is id Software's FPS game Doom, which will be available for 800 Microsoft Points via Xbox Live Marketplace. The game will feature an upgraded resolution and 5.1 Dolby Surround sound. It will showcase a 4-player co-op and an offline deathmatch support. No info on the release date yet, but we bet that it would be very soon.Other game titles up for grabs on the XBLA are:
• Lumines Live! - 1200 MP
• Contra - 400 MP
• Street Race NYC - 800 MP
• Gyruss - 400 MP

Why is it 95% of the XBOX live arcade games can be downloaded and played for free on PSP? I don't have good enough internet for XBOX live anyway, but I'd like to see something I haven't played before and gotten sick of. It might be worth getting then.
PSP versions don't have online support or HD *****e implemented into them, now go ***** off back to the Sony PSP fanboy cave from where you come from. great news btw, 1200 for Lumines Live, i'm definately getting that :D

That's the same as saying 'Why is it that 100% of the PS2 games can be downloaded and play for free on PS2?' ... The answer is the same: You can't do it legally. You call it 'wasting money' but that's like saying paying for gas is wasting money because you can simply drive off without paying. And don't respond 'you'll get caught' because it isn't the getting caught that makes it illegal.
WTF where is my dig dug, contra, lumines, Double Dragon and all the other games they keep danglin off their nut sackz to keep us checkin XBLA? I am tired of reading about *****s with their little psp's and ps2's downloading games into them for "free" STFU I want my games when they say they are supposed to be released! I pay good money for this sh*t, and I wanna skip work to play.
Exactly. Plus like stated before. You cannot play Doom on xbox live with your friends now can you. Not our problem you dont get to experience how awesome xbox live is.

XBLA is failing on getting great titles. All this stuff is mostly old outdated freeware. Sure you get them in hd and what not but they're missing out on better stuff. They're are plenty of Korean and Japanese companies that make free mmorpgs and other games Wheres my O2Jams? Wheres my Ragnarok Online? Wheres my Rose Online? Wheres my Fly for Free Online? They're simply missing out on alot of free great content.

To the first poster, the PSP was not design to run emulators and roms, so you can't use that as an argument. And as for the free part, its illegal unless you already own the game. If I used your thought of mind for xbox vs ps2, it would be something like this: "Why would anybody want ps2, I can download xbox games off the net and play them for free, oh yeah, and I can play emulators and run all sorts of homebrew"
I didn't steal Doom to play on PSP. I bought it back in '94 and just because the engine was ported to psp and I used the original WAD files, that is NOT piracy. I don't pirate games that are actually worth buying, I just don't pay again to buy a repackaged version. That is wasting money.

What I meant was, I think Common Sense is saying the XBL arcade titles are a waste of money FOR HIM, because he doesn't have XBL, which they are. If he's truly trying to say that all XBL arcade games are a waste, regardless of wether or not you have XBL, well then poo on him
Xbox wont ever win Japan because Japan thinks every xbox gamer is as dumb as after these people in this thread(12,13,19). All of those are huge free games that draw in millions of players. Free content with high user base is always a good thing.
The article says that other titles "up for grabs" are etc etc etc. I wouldve assumed that meant theyre available, but apparently Lumines isn't, which is really the only one I was looking for. Does anybody know when it's coming out?
