Final Fantasy XIII to have "game content downloads"?

Ó

Here's an interesting bit. GameStop has a copy of Final Fantasy XIII's Xbox 360 version - the back of it contains the usual game information, like video output, supported functions, and memory-related notes. One interesting bit here is that it indicates support for "game content downloads", so are we looking at FFXIII DLC?

Although Yoshinori Kitase has already said that they're thinking about it, Square Enix has yet to announce any form of DLC for Final Fantasy XIII. The rumor mill has nothing on downloadable content either.

Technically speaking, the "game content download" indication might just be support for theoretical DLC, just in case Square decides to push through with it. Then again, why add support for something that you won't use?

Every xbox game has that on even when there is no DLC for it like devil may cry 4 for example.

Sorry mate but you're in a mistake, now when i bought assassin's creed 1 back in the start of 2008 the box didn't have any info about havind DLC, neither DMC 4 (i already double checked the box), nor enchanted arms that went out with the xbox 360 but yeah, it's seems kind of fishy though maybe the PS3 version will also bring this lil' fella note

All aboard the money train! Personally I never support DLC unless it's actually an addition to the game. After I purchase said "12 hours of game content" I notice the download is only a 12Kb key to unlock what was already on the disk... People need to figure out how to unlock "DLC" already on disks easily.

Ezekial are you really trying to suggest that a company a really big company would charge us for something we already have access to, wow, even for a company to think about this is blasphamey, im not talking about M$, or what the heads of sony are thinking of doing
ONLINE GAMING SHOULD BE FREE
ESPECIALLY WHEN THE PROUD PEOPLE AT SONY HAD A SURGE IN PROFITS AND M$ HAS BEEN MILKING A CASH COW FOR EVER
but if this game adds something to it, especially if its crazy hard boss battles i.e(RUBY OR EMERALD WEAPON FROM ff7, or classic battles ha light and crue vs. seph,or, ult, or the bitch from 6 or sin then im probably gonna crack open my piggy and give in
BUT if this game allows me to influence versus 13 oh it will bring tears to my eyes in a good way

RAMBILING ON
Ezekial you are correct with your statement
i dont want to pay for something i can already get i want new

the legal way is to buy them again.

i disagree strongly =\ the content has to be somewhere, take little big planet which just tosses all the DLC in updates then sells keys to the content... *thats also how they do a lot of demos now a days* i do agree they shouldnt take away content but why not just attack a real BS issue, like preorder content which is removed from the game as a perk for ____ task with no way to earn or earned at a much later point *gigawat blades for instance were added so much later many people plated it before it was even announced*

A great example about it is SoulCalibur IV Darth Vader version for Xbox 360 and PS3's Yoda; it was already in the disk but you had to pay 400 MS points(i think) for playing with it but the point here it was a key because of the size of that download which is 8mb i dunno but i don't like where this is going and sorry if i sound like a know-it-all it's been months since i could comment

Supposedly they had to cut a lot out (...xbox360...) so SE releasing that stuff as DLC is almost a given.

And it's a total ripoff for us PS3 players. Fuck you SE (and M$)!

SE already confirmed there was going to be DLC, first in Japan then later on (probably late March or something) for everyone else. Its supposed to feature 20 more monster missions (FFXIII's version of FFXII's Marks) and 2 other unannounced things.
