Final Fantasy XIII was released in Japan last year, but only for the PS3. It was a PS3-Xbox 360 release everywhere else. That's about to change. As the Japanese Achievements list may have told you, the game is finally coming to Xbox 360s in Japan as Final Fantasy XIII Ultimate Hits International.
The international version will carry English voice acting but will have subtitle options for Nihongo, English, and a number of European languages. "My Hands" performed by Leona Lewis will remain as the game's theme.
Ultimate Hits International will also feature an easy mode, which might be useful for players who might have trouble taking the Oretoises down. First print copies will include two neat bonuses: first is Final Fantasy XIII: Corridor of Memory, a booklet with visual art and previously unreleased event scenes; the other is Final Fantasy XIII: Episode i, a short feature on what happened after the events in the game.
Just like other Square Enix Ultimate Hits titles, Final Fantasy XIII Ultimate Hits International will be a bit cheaper than the usual game price. It'll retail at ¥4,990 - that's about US$60, but that's actually less than the usual full game price in Japan.
No date has been set, but word on the street says it'll be on December 16th, 2010, almost a year after the original was released in Japan.

what a disappointment square enix. you created an unlovely linear RPG game. plus the ntsc and pal versions and lacked lots of extras that the japanese version (airship and exploring other towns) has. now you don't want to create and release DLC??? wtf???????????????
