File sizes for Final Fantasy XI updates as of November 19

PlayOnline's Final Fantasy XI MMORPG - Image 1Hold on to your Chocobos! Gamers who still haven't updated their respective gaming platforms for PlayOnline's Final Fantasy XI might be interested at taking a look at the file sizes for the newest update released today.

Today's update will be hitting the servers around 8:00 (PST), so gamers will have to get their connections warmed up for today's big update. Here's the list of file sizes for clients with Chains of Promathia and Treasures of Aht Urhgan installed:

PlayStation 2 downloadable file size: 63.9MB
  • Analog modem (56Kbps) users: About 5 hour, 6 minutes
  • DSL (1Mbps) users: About 52 minutes
Windows downloadable file size: 111.3MB
  • Analog modem (56Kbps) users: about 4 hours, 58 minutes
  • DSL (1Mbps) users: about 50 minutes
Xbox 360 downloadable file size: 108.2MB
  • DSL (1Mbps) users: About 53 minutes
For those without Chains of Promathia and Treasures of Aht Urhgan installed, here are the respective file sizes for every platform:

PlayStation 2 downloadable file size: 54.7MB
  • Analog modem (56Kbps) users: About 4 hour, 24 minutes
  • DSL (1Mbps) users: About 46 minutes
Windows downloadable file size: 99.8MB
  • Analog modem (56Kbps) users: About 4 hour, 30 minutes
  • DSL (1Mbps) users: About 47 minutes, 30 seconds
Xbox 360 Downloadable file size: 99.5MB
  • DSL (1Mbps) users: About 49 minutes
PlayOnline advises gamers to anticipate heavy server traffic. So for those of you who might experience "POL-1160" or "POL-0010" errors, just sit tight and try updating again in a little bit. That being said, feel free to enjoy the new and improved Vana'diel.
