Koei's futuristic racer for the Xbox 360 is more than just squealing wheels and trading paint. If your idea of action is setting lap records, then step back. Fatal Inertia is beyond high speed vehicles - only those who can defy gravity and fire weapons that manipulate force, velocity, and time will stand victorious.

In these videos, we see various hovercrafts break 500 mph while trying to make their way through dangerous tracks. Going at it by the river requires some serious skill and the ability to make sharp turns as shown in River Race Gameplay.

Next up is Hover Racing Gameplay, which seems to take place around a small island. The game's spectacular environments are showcased, but there seems to be no time to pause and enjoy the scenery when enemies are tailing with weapons that make swoop racers cry.

For those who are yet to grab a copy even when Fatal Inertia is already on shelves, here are some convincing videos that could lead you to dishing out some dough.

Yes and no...

I have to say, the second video looks dead sexy. The water, the shadows, the air wake, beautiful. But the actual racing just looks so wooden and lifeless. Playing the demo it felt like the craft were too responsive and twitchy, so you go all over the place. But with so much inertia and weight, you still hit everything. And then the weapons. At least with explosives and guns, you get hit, you move on. But with this stuff it drags on, and it get's very agitating as opposed to exciting. That's my two cents anyway. Gimme Sega Rally already!

:D

Well, it looked like a Wipeout rip off...I didn't think it was going to do so well. My predictions are true. :D
