After getting delayed early this year, Fatal Inertia has finally been given a new North American release date. Koei has just sent round an announcement stating that Fatal inertia for the Xbox 360 will be shipping to retail stores on September 11.

"Fatal Inertia is quite simply bringing high-speed fun and excitement back to the combat racing genre," said Senior Vice President of KOEI Corporation Amos Ip, alluding to the game's eclectic variety of weapons and racing challenges as well as its intuitive driver controls.

Fatal Inertia is the debut title from Koei Canada, Koei's Toronto-based development studio. This Unreal Engine 3-powered game puts players inside the cockpit of a heavily-armed racecraft speeding through harsh environments. The game features single and online multiplayer modes, eight racing series, six distinct racing environments and full racecraft customization.
