Kidding aside, the rise of this post-apocalyptic faction isn't about worshipping a golden, robotic calf and praying to a steel deity. BoS is all about the acquisition of technology which drives them into creating a new world order.

This is what Emil Pagliarulo, Lead Designer of Fallout 3 (PC, Xbox 360, PS3), talks about in the latest entry of the developer's diary for the game. He gives everyone a short insight to one of the most well-recognized factions in the Fallout universe and its place in the upcoming sequel to the series.

This really is a good chance to brush up on this particular item by reading on the devblog entry. Gamers who've played the previous Fallout games will appreciate reading up on everyone's favorite faction in the series.

As for the newer players, this is a chance to get yourselves into the spirit of the game and find out what made the series so popular. Either way, expect to see a lot of big men (and women) all clad in steel and Power Armor, as they eke out a living in the wasteland.

To further help give you an idea of what the Brotherhood of Steel is like, here are some concept art for the game showing off the tech savvy faction, as well as some of the prominent figures in their community.
