Fallout 3 Broken Steel DLC details, screenshots |
Ó

Fallout 3's Broken Steel DLC is the last of the three DLC packs announced by Bethesda so far, and it's probably the best one. Why? Because it finally gives you a choice in how you approach and handle the end of Fallout 3's main quest and finally getting rid of an ending for the game entirely.
That was always my biggest beef with the game. For a title that offered you so many choices on the way to the final final moments, it inexplicably locked you down to just one choice in the climax. Call me crazy but I really found that unforgivable, but thanks to Broken Steel, I'll be happily wandering the Capital Wasteland again.
Aside from the ending tweaks, Broken Steel also increases the level cap to 30, letting gamers pump their skills and perks up even more. Enemies have also been made tougher, and by the time you reach level 18 you'll be seeing new ones like the feral ghoul reaver, the super mutant overlord, and Enclave Hellfire troopers.
Of course, with new enemies come new ways to kill them. New weapons include a projectile flame thrower and a Tesla Cannon. The Tesla Cannon is also a part of Broken Steel's main storyline, where you're tasked with discovering and helping to build it to aid in the Brotherhood of Steel's war against the Enclave.
The main quest, which starts two weeks after the events in Fallout 3's main quest, will let you explore a new area based on Andrews Air Force Base that actually lies outside the Capital Wasteland. The main quest will apparently run for about five to six hours, and there are plenty of new side quests you can get from a scribe to further lengthen your playthrough.
Broken Steel will go live on May 5 and can be purchased for 800 MS Points. Owners of the game's PC version will also be able to enjoy the Broken Steel DLC. Here's hoping that what happened to the Pitt DLC doesn't happen again with this one.

the game is already long enough and with Anchorage and the Pitt which add alot more game time and makes the game even better wow!!! i will never tire of this game just like bioshock and mass effect. Hope theirs more DLC after this...
I'm trying really hard to not play Fallout until I can get more xp for all the things I still have to do after 100 hours of playtime. I'll be sad when this game finally ends
they are already talking sequel for next year. Can't wait to see it!
