Fable III to have gay marriage, adoption

This bit of news should put conservative parents' and social guardians' underpants in a twist. Peter Molyneux has confirmed that not only can you marry someone on your Live friends list in co-op and consequently have kids, you can also marry someone of the same sex and then have kids by pulling a Brangelina (adoption).

The confimration was made to VG247 when the Lionhead boss was asked if you can go gay in the game. "Oh absolutely," he said.

"Yeah, you can have same-sex marriage. And you can adopt as well. And there's social diseases. Getting that through Microsoft Geo-Poli is tough, I can assure you."

If you're afraid of commitment and tying the knot isn't on top of your to-do-list right now, whether in-game or in real life, "You are free to go into business partnership, which is kind of almost the same as getting married, but with a man."

Fable III comes out exclusively for the Xbox 360 on October 26, 2010.

Because IT'S A CHOICE IN-GAME. As far as I know, having homo parents doesn't screw you up any more than having hetero parents. And I always assume adoption, given the parents doing the adoption are good people (read: fine with kids, good social standing, no outstanding arrests, that kind of thing, nothing to do with gender), is much preferable to staying at an orphanage or something.

I wouldn't go as far as saying children are better off with homosexual parents, but they definitely don't fair any worse in life than the children of heterosexual parents. There's hundreds of studies that prove that homosexual parents don't cause there kids to become homosexual or have any type of detrimental affect on their development. How can you say that gay parents make their kids gay when pretty much every gay person in the world has heterosexual parents?

No, you wont find evidence stating that gay parents lead to gay kids or that they somehow mess up the kids development. Not because "everything is fuk'd up and almost half the world is full if whining lil' fairies" or because they would be afraid to report those findings like you said. It's simply because it is not true. Unfortunately, you seem like the type to cover his ears and go "lalalala!" because you're content with your ignorance.

This game is rated M.If you are letting your children freely play M rated games then you have much more to fear than Fable3's sexuality choices. The people intended to play this game are older teenagers; in other words, the player knows what they are getting into, unless it is an irresponsible parent who allows their naive kids to play games that clearly warn of sexual content, alchohal and violence. If you don't like it, don't play it, nor allow your child to play it. Simple.As.That.

Same sex marriage was in Fable 2, as well. So now the big thing is adoption? That's cute.

By the way, I don't seem to remember anyone complaining about the semi-lesbian sex scene in Mass Effect 1. In both cases, it's your choice how you play the game. I think that this kind of stuff is a good step in the direction of tolerance.

There's not many games that are like that, though it seems that more and more games have started becoming like that, which I'm glad for :) People need to stop discriminating against one another and just accept everyone.

I think Fable has gone a little too far with all this sex, STI's, adoption, gay marraige, going into a business partnership, buying a shop...
It's all a little unnessecary to be honest, it feels more like I'm playing the Sims now (minus the STI part). O.o

I miss it when it was just get married, have a kid and a house on Fable 1, and keep them happy. And that was it, no hassle.

And more than that, you have to run around holding people's hands to get them to follow you now. I couldn't help but feel a little... poncy... doing that

Although, I did get my male characters to kiss one of the bandits in the camp (on Fable 3), and he threw up. Dang
