If you've been waiting for Fable 2 to come out, have no fear. Microsoft Game Studios and Lionhead Studios have released information pertaining to the release of the XBLA Pub Games and Fable 2, as well as dishing out the list of goodies that'll come with the Fable 2 Limited Collector's Edition.

According to the information we've picked up from the official site, Fable 2 will ship to U.S. retailers on Oct. 21 and European retailers on Oct. 24. The Fable 2 Pub Games will be released on Xbox Live on August 13. Folks who pre-ordered the game from select retailers can pick a code for the Pub Games; Pub Games can also be bought on Xbox Live for 800 Microsoft Points.

In addition to the regular version of Fable 2, there'll also be a Limited Collector's Edition of the game. This Collector's Edition will feature the following:

In addition to the standard retail version, Fable 2 will be offered in a Limited CollectorÂ’s Edition through participating retailers and will feature:
  • Bonus DVD – Includes new ‘Making-of FeatureÂ’ with Peter Molyneux and the team at Lionhead Studios and concept art viewer
  • Bonus In-Game Content (Requires LIVE account) – Includes “The Hall of the Dead” Dungeon, “The Wreckager” Legendary Cutlass Weapon and Otherworldly Bonus
  • Collectible Hobbe figure with accessories – From the Qee Collection comes this one-of-a-kind Hobbe figure. Nasty, brutish, and short, he roams the countryside, preying on travelers and spiriting away the children of the unwary.
  • 48-hour Xbox LIVE Gold Trial Card – With Xbox LIVE Gold, players can show off their individual hero by inviting friends into their unique version of Albion or they can visit their friendsÂ’ Albion, and earn additional gold, experience and renown to take back into their own.
  • Five printed Fate Cards – These five beautiful cards foretell the HeroÂ’s great destiny to journey across all of Albion, encountering deadly enemies and enigmatic allies. The path leads to a choice that will change the world forever.

hmmm

Tempting... but I'm pretty leary of these LE's and what we actually get after the crappy Assassin's Creed LE content.

this one seems ok

this seems more inline with the bioshock LE... i think the bioshock LE was the best yet, mainly because it was actually a limited production item. the list of games with an overstock of "limited" editions is just insane... i think maybe they use limited in a different way than i expect... like "if you think we only made so many of these your intelligence is limited". or maybe resale value will be limited because the store still has 5 brand new LE versions of your game... if it says limited, it should be at least somewhat rare.

Uncertain

Ok, I'm talking to 360 fans here. Honestly fellas, how do you think that Fable 2 will turn out? I'm not asking you to base your judements off of trailers and minor gameplay footage. And please no 12 year olds, I don't want your "IT ROCKS" or "IT SUCKS" comments. Yeah, I really think that this game will score well. I'm interested in seeing how well it actually does. It seems to have some great featuers. Any thoughts on this? And post your estimate game review score (out of 10) 9.5/10 Just an estimate guys. Have some fun.

ok

not a 360 fan but i do own a 360 and im giving it an 8.5/10 just like I did the first game. It has the same gameplay which is good and will probably be a game of the month when it comes out...another thing is its not an FPS game so it has my vote. Im sick of the FPS games and want something new(Ninja Gaiden didn't exactly last too long and it wasn't as good as the first). I doubt that this game will actually get over a 9/10 but hoping that it is good so i can rent and burn it

Antici...pation.

I was excited about the prospects of the first game. When it came out lacking most of the things Lionhead promised I was somewhat saddened, but the game was brilliant and kept me thinking about what it could have been. Since the announcement of Fable 2 I've been scouring every available outlet for info. Everything I've seen so far is brilliant. I'm happy to see the original vision being fulfilled, and then some. Fable would have gotten I a 7 or 8 from me because while the environments were beautiful, I often found myself in areas with little to do unless I was on a mission. I expect Fable 2 to rank in around a 9 to a 10. Same system co-op will be a major factor for me. Far to few games have this these days.

If you rent the game and like it, BUY IT. Don't be a cheap ass and steal it. Support the developers of games you like or there won't be any more games you like.

I played the 1st FABLE

...several times and really loved it. The Lost Chapters version was by far the way it should have been initially released. That said... I'm really really really looking forward to any new information we get on FABLE 2... not just the game release... just info. I see a headline and my interest is sparked. I really think it will be one of the best loved games the 360 has ever seen. I was really attached to the game-world and game-play of the first one. The gameworld looks just amazing in every screen I've seen and doesn't disappoint by being really far off of the concept art we've seen. That bird in the preview looked simply jaw-dropping amazing to me, however all the character's eyes looked really really weird. I expect a little criticism there unless in char creation you get to pick different eyes. The thing I am wondering the most tho... is totally speculative. With all the info I've seen, it all leads me to believe this might be something akin to an MMO. The arcade games prior to release to gather your char money seems to beg for starting an economy. Ole' Moly has been uber secretive about the co-op sides of things and I'm wondering if it's because it'll be kinda psuedo-MMO'ish like. Specially with Microsoft coming out of the blue the other day talking about how it's disappointed in not having any MMO's yet. That was all just merely hopeful thinking and total speculation.... I don't even know if I'd have time for a game like that lmao.

I totally agree

If it was a LE why do I see Halo 3 helmet editions sitting in every electronic dept. I go to for like $50-70 depending on the sale day or how much that store needs the floor space... LOL/lmfao

Agree

Fable had almost none of the cool things Lionhead said it would have, and it was still amazing. Now that Molyneux has had more time to work on the 2nd and not nearly as many hardware limitations, Fable 2 should be everything everyone wants it to be
