Epic Games: Gears of War to have its very own comic book series |
Ó
For those of us who had their eyeballs rocked out of their sockets by Epic Games' Gears of War for the Xbox 360 and PC, then good news: you can now read about Delta Squad and their Locust-chainsawing exploits in comic book form.
This is through the announcement that DC Comics recently made, about them pairing up with Epic Games to tell the story of Marcus Fenix in frames and speech balloons. Oh, and awesome, bloody art.
So, what are the specifics of this upcoming comic book series? Slated to debut from DC's WildStorm publishing imprint in October, this particular aspect of the franchise will explain the events that happen after Gears of War and before Gears of War 2. So in essence, it will bridge the two games together and should be a must for the fans.
Well, that's certainly promising. If there would be any publisher who could do Gears of War the justice it deserves, then DC is certainly that publisher. Here's hoping that the first issue rolls out quicker than that expected release date. Updates as we get them, so keep it locked right here.

Don't they call those 'graphic novels' now so people don't feel so nerdy?
of the comic book series.
I absolutely loved the first game... but I wonder what adding PLOT might change. Has me scared... /sarcasm
