UK-based graphics developer Geomerics is on an enlightening mission. A couple of days ago, we reported that the company just signed Epic Game's Integrated Partnership Program (IPP) that incorporates Enlighten engine with Unreal Engine 3.

Now, Geomerics is proud to announce that it has completed developing the said engine for Xbox 360. We know you're familiar with UE3 but is kind of curious about Enlighten. This specific engine provides real-time global illumination and radiosity for in-game environments with the use of dynamically changing lighting conditions.

The effects of this engine on 360 games will be demonstrated at this year's Game Developers Conference (GDC). Xbox Tools and Middleware Product Manager Tracey Frankcom, moreover, is delighted with the latest development.

It's great to see companies such as Geomerics developing their technology for the Xbox 360. Technology such as theirs is what the next generation is all about – stunning levels of graphical quality to provided totally immersive user experiences.
