Fight in the air and on the sea in Battlestations Midway - Image 1For those of you who enjoyed the epic land, air and sea battles of Eidos Interactive's Battlestations: Midway (PC, Xbox 360), here's a bit of news: Eidos has reportedly filed a Battlestations: Pacific trademark.

Unfortunately, Eidos Interactive has yet to release any additional information regarding the official name of the sequel or the details behind the game. If the trademark that Eidos Interactive has filed to protect is any indication of things to come, we may be hearing more about the sequel soon.

For those of you who may not be familiar with Battlestations: Pacific's predecessor, Eidos Interactive's Battlestations: Midway, the latter game cast the player in a variety of roles over the course of eleven campaigns and twelve bonus challenges. Battlestations: Midway featured authentically designed air and seacraft, weather effects real-world environments within which to do battle.
