As reported earlier, Bizarre Creations (same folks who brought us Project Gotham Racing 3 and Geometry Wars) is working on a new title for Xbox Live Arcade called Boom Boom Rocket, which they're planning to release this Spring.

And to give 360 users a sneak peek of what the game looks like, they've released this batch of screens which features all the spectralgasmic fireworks you'll be firing off -- if you're good enough, that is. So anyway, here are some of Boom Boom Rocket's key features:
  • Players can play in single player mode or go head-to-head against a friend on the same console.
  • three gameplay modes: Normal, Speed and multiplayer head-to-head.
  • Each song is choreographed into three skill levels.
  • Successfully chain fireworks to fill the bonus meter and activate the psychedelic bonus mode for extra points.
  • Players can unlock new firework designs by mastering each music track. You can also check out the Boom Boom Rocket leaderboard to see how your performance fares with other players.
Bizarre also has a constantly updated site to inform the community of the recent developments in Boom Boom Rocket, so if you're interested in reading what the devs have to say, just hit the read link below and you're all set.

» Hey look

It's FantaVision. I don't know if many of you played, but I really liked that game and it's cool to see something that looks similar to that game coming out. It would be great if Sony would release FantaVision on the on the PS Store. Looks cool and since it's from Bizarre Creations it might play good too.

» Thats what I was thinking

I dunno if it actually is Fantavision renamed. I guess if it is then it's no longer Sony exclusive.

» it's EA's

It's EA's because Bizarre Creations are working with EA to create it.

Taken from Bizarre's website - "We're incredibly pleased to announce that we are working with Electronic Arts to develop their very first foray onto Xbox Live Arcade: Boom Boom Rocket!"
