If you're an Xbox 360 owner and you've yet to nab yourself a copy of EA Montreal's very awesome Army of Two (Xbox 360, PS3), then here's some good news: a demo of the game is slated to go live for download this April 1. As for those of us who have already purchased a copy, there's also the deal of new downloadable content in the near horizon as well.

And from what we've heard, it's going to be pretty sweet, even if you're an online multiplayer enthusiast or just an offline local homebody.

This news comes directly from the EA Montreal Forums, via a news post by EA Community Staff allyoucaneatsushi. So, while we already know the fact about the incoming demo, here's a direct quote to further enlighten us on the downloadable content:

So there is 1 new multiplayer map arriving as well as 2 new campaign maps in the not too distant future. As well as SSC Challenge- thatÂ’s the obstacle course for mercs that I mentioned in my previous post. So that being said there is some good stuff to look forward to in the future for AO2.

Well, there you have it. One new multiplayer map and two new campaign maps - a pretty sweet deal, indeed. Here's hoping that it doesn't burn a hole in our wallets. And with that rather naughty date approaching - April 1 - we remind people that 'tis the day to be pranking, and this potentially could be one of those types. Still, we could never know, right? Updates as we get them!

Buy: [Army of Two (Xbox 360), (PS3)]
