That just means there are going to be a crap load of disappointed people because I really didnt like the demo at all. It was a straight forward path you have to take doing the same thing over and over and over again.
This article and announcement shows that there was a high interest in the game, which is a good thing. I wasn't all too impressed by the demo my first time through either (having only played DMC1). Although I read up on the game and found out the very nice mechanics that I missed out on.
Having played the retail version (halfway through it) I highly recommend this game. The demo does an okay job of introducing you to the game, but once you get the full game it's much more impressive
This means nothing to be honest. Sure that many people downloaded it but whos to say that they liked it at all. I bet more than half of them didn't like the demo and ended up not buying the full version. I already hundreds who has done that alone.
So i don't see this as anything to go by, the PS3 version is murdering the 360 version by 6-1 in the pal and japan regions. We will see how the U.S sales are but i bet you its not going to be pretty. This game is far better on the PS3. And im not being a fanboy either, the controls just feels better on the PS controller, the loading times aren't as good as the PS3 version. The PS3 version looks clearer. So in the end i don't see alot of people buying this on the 360. But Ninja Gaiden 2 lots of 360 owners will get that without thinking, even im getting a 360 for that game.
Stealth!
Sixty one per cent of sales were on the Microsoft console, with the rest on Sony's PlayStation 3 and PC.
So...Xbox 360 did better than the PS3 version and controls I prefer on the 360, it all comes down to what console you have/prefer
not worldwide and certainly not in North America. Despite being multiplatform, DMC has its identity still tied to the Playstation brand. And for some reason, 360 owners in North America don't buy games without a first person perspective.
And I have to agree with Stealth! After downloading both demos, it was an easy decision to buy the game on the PS3. Not only does the control scheme play out better on the Dual Shock 3, the rumble is far superior to the vibrating brick my 360 controller is.
This game and Burnout Paradise take rumble to a whole other level and sport superior graphical effects as well on the PS3. I appreciate the transparencies on the PS3 versions much more. DMC makes extremely heavy use of them and obvious to pc gamers, Nvidia has superior hardware to ATI's. And Nvidia's effects processing is quite apparent when playing PS3 games.
I'd recommend to any multi-console owners to pick up these two on the PS3. Download the demos and you'll appreciate the difference.
